Chief Technologist — Outpatient Radiology Office Manager

Reports to Chief Operating Officer

POSITION SUMMARY

A rewarding career position for a highly skilled manager to supervise a large and busy established radiology outpatient office. Must have a complete understanding of diagnostic imaging, ability to supervise and motivate 40+ employees, high level of integrity, and sincere desire to ensure a high standard of patient care.

Job Summary

  • Manage all clinical operations of outpatient imaging center including, but not limited to, performing patient exams, equipment, personnel, scheduling, and customer service functions delivering excellent standard of care to our patients. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Operational
  • Develop, implement, and maintain programs and procedures, such as operating, safety and quality; ensure and maintain standards of care
  • Evaluate and recommend supplies, provide justification and prioritization of such needs; order procedural and operational supplies
  • Ensure documentation and compliance for local, state and federal regulations including, ACR, FDA, NCDENR and HIPAA.
  • Maintain liaison with physicians, personnel, and staff to resolve problems and to advise concerning technical procedures, techniques, and equipment.
  • Work inter- and intra-departmentally to resolve customer concerns or complaints
  • Represent the department on various committees, at meetings and conferences. Personnel
  • Motivate, lead and inspire employees to create a positive teamwork environment
  • Develop, implement and maintain policies and procedures related to personnel management. Ensure that company guidelines, work rules and personnel policies are understood and applied to staff
  • Oversee all personnel functions including, but not limited to, evaluations, disciplinary actions, manage and review work schedules and assignments. Ensure that all employees are properly oriented, trained, and up to date with annual competencies, certifications and education requirements

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • ARRT Registered technologist in good standing
  • AAS in Radiology or BS Degree in Radiology
  • 3+ years of supervisory/management experience, a plus
  • Advanced ARRT certifications, a plus

Programmer/Analyst

Reports to Manager of Development

POSITION SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the Manager of Development, perform analysis, design, coding, testing, implementation, and support of in-house developed PICK/UNIVERSE based systems.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in systems analysis and design

  • Code, comment and unit test new/changed modules

  • Create test plans where appropriate

  • Participate in volume, regression, and integration testing

  • Ensure work product conforms to the standards of coding, commenting, and documentation

  • Maintain strict version control

  • Conform to the separation of Production and Development environments

  • Follow the published Changed Control process when making changes to the Production environment

  • Assume duties as required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree with major in related field desirable
  • 3–5 years experience programming in a PICK environment
  • Analytical experience required

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Must be well organized

  • Superior oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment essential

WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND SCHEDULE

  • Environment may include some travel to remote offices and hospitals in the region
  • Work schedule is whatever is necessary to perform the job and may include some evenings and weekends on an as needed basis

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ACTIVITIES

  • Extended computer activity, keyboarding, mouse, and monitor
