Vascular and Interventional Radiologist

Dr. Kwong, a vascular and interventional radiologist, joined Wake Radiology in 2003. Born in Saigon, Vietnam, Dr. Kwong grew up in Arlington, Texas. He is a graduate of the Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science and attended college at the University of Texas at Austin. He stayed in Texas for medical school, attending the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Dr. Kwong completed a diagnostic radiology residency at Boston University after an internal medicine internship in Columbus, Ohio. While in Boston, Dr. Kwong had a special interest and completed visiting fellowships in pediatric vascular and interventional radiology at Boston Children’s Hospital and breast imaging and intervention at the Faulkner Sagoff Breast Center. Dr. Kwong then went to the University of California San Diego where he completed a fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology. Dr. Kwong is a diplomate of the American Board of Radiology and a member of the Society of Interventional Radiology, the American College of Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America, and the North Carolina Medical Society. Dr. Kwong has a clinical interest and has been certified to perform microsphere yttrium brachytherapy, vertebroplasty, Balloon Kyphoplasty, and percutaneous spinal interventions. Outside of work, Dr. Kwong enjoys traveling.
