RICHARD J. MAX, MD

Women’s Imaging Radiologist

Since joining our practice in 1981, Dr. Max has practiced general diagnostic radiology and has a special clinical interest in breast imaging. He serves as director of services at Wake Radiology’s Raleigh MRI Center and was the former chairman of the Department of Radiology at WakeMed Cary Hospital. The native of Morristown, NJ, received his medical degree from Rutgers Medical School and was chief resident in diagnostic radiology at Duke University Medical Center in Durham. Dr. Max is board certified in diagnostic radiology by the American Board of Radiology and the National Board of Medical Examiners. He is a member of the Radiological Society of North America and the American College of Radiology.
