 Investing in Our Community

Wake Radiology is proud to of our role in providing healthcare to adults and children in our community. Our physicians perform imaging for a significant number of uninsured patients, primarily through our work at WakeMed Health and Hospitals and Maria Parham Medical Center. More specifically, we provide nearly $500,000 in charity care each year through Project Access, Alliance Medical Ministry and the Open Door Clinic. We also recently expanded our own mammogram charity program and expect to perform free screening mammograms for nearly 250 uninsured women in 2013.

For providers, Wake Radiology sponsors continuing medical education (CME) courses to the referring community to help promote best practices in the area and provides advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) courses.

Wake Radiology is also proud to support many medical charities and associations as well as several major cultural groups that make a difference in the overall health and vibrancy of our community. From the American Cancer Society and Komen Race for the Cure to the North Carolina Symphony and Carolina Ballet, Wake Radiology understands that we all benefit when these organizations thrive.
