Wake Radiology’s orthopedic and sports imaging radiologists are committed to helping our patients stay active and involved. When a sports-related injury or joint pain slows you down, our team works hard to help get you back to living life at its fullest as quickly as possible.
Our team uses advanced technologies to detect and diagnose the root of the issue and work with your referring doctor on recommending appropriate treatment and care. For aggravating joint pain, our musculoskeletal (MSK) radiologists can administer image-guided injections that offer relief right in our outpatient offices. Our comprehensive services offered in convenient outpatient centers include conventional radiography, CT, MRI, and nuclear medicine of all joints. As well, we provide peripheral ultrasound with special attention to the shoulder.
Orthopedic & Sports Sub-specialized
All of our orthopedic and sports imaging doctors are subspecialty trained and focus on muscle and skeletal health concerns. They have experience imaging and diagnosing professional hockey players, dancers, track stars as well as local college and high school athletes. They are committed to keeping all of us “in the game” by delivering unmatched care and raising the bar for orthopedic imaging and detection in the Triangle.
Ortho & Sports Imaging Offices
ur West Raleigh office is staffed daily by two subspecialty-trained radiologists. To make it convenient for our patients, orthopedic imaging can be performed at most of our outpatient locations. All orthopedic-related cases are then routed to our West Raleigh office for immediate interpretation by our MSK radiologists. Our responsiveness and communication allow physicians to remain the focal point of care. Combined with continuity of imaging over time and across imaging modalities, these are hallmarks of a high standard of care.
Our MRI centers offer extended evening and weekend hours and sedation is available upon request for adult patients who are claustrophobic.
