Important new therapies include minimally invasive procedures to relieve the extreme back pain commonly caused by osteoporosis: sacroplasty, vertebroplasty, and balloon Kyphoplasty.
For patients with leg pain or unsightly veins, we provide provide minimally invasive therapies for varicose and spider veins including laser, walk-in walk-out ambulatory phlebectomy (vein removal), and sclerotherapy. Treatment by a fellowship-trained physician reassures patients and reduces the chance of any complications. Our interventional procedures also benefit patients undergoing chemotherapy and antibiotic therapy. Our outpatient office in Cary provides expertise and efficiency for the insertion of ports and PICC lines, saving patients time and effort. We also perform biopsies of thyroid nodules and other superficial organs and drainage of fluid collections, including fluid in the abdomen or around the lungs.
