Wake Radiology Announces New Chief Operating Officer
RALEIGH (July 12, 2007) – Wake Radiology is pleased to announce that Margaret King has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer. In her new role, King will lead all phases of operations for the area’s largest radiology group that includes Wake Radiology Diagnostic Imaging and Wake Radiology Interventional Services.
King first joined Wake Radiology in 1982 and left to teach radiology technology at Wake Technical Community College. She rejoined the practice in 1990 as a Magnetic Resonance (MR) technologist at Wake Radiology’s MRI location at the North Hills office in Raleigh. She was promoted in 1992 to director, MRI Services.
“Margaret has helped us grow MR services to a level that makes Wake Radiology one of the top MR programs in the Southeast,” noted Robert E. King, who received her training at both Wake Technical Institute and North Carolina State University is also the author of numerous articles and case studies on MRI applications that have been published in major radiology trade magazines, journals and books. She is a frequent lecturer at professional radiology technology trade association meetings in both the United States and abroad.
