Wake Radiology Hires Two Subspecialty Radiologists

RALEIGH (August 3, 2009) – Wake Radiology announces the appointment of two physicians to the practice. David Ian Schulz, MD, trained in body imaging and Thomas Scott Dziedzic, MD, specializing in emergency department radiology, joined the staff in July.

Dr. Schulz, board certified by the American Board of Radiology, completed a body imaging fellowship in June 2009 at Duke University Medical Center and an internal medicine internship in 2004 at Michigan State University. Dr. Schulz graduated with a Bachelor of Sciences degree in zoology from Michigan State University in 1998 and received his medical degree from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in 2003. The St. Johns, Michigan native is a member of the Radiological Society of North America, Society of Computed Body Tomography and Magnetic Resonance, North Carolina Medical Society and Wake County Medical Society.

Dr. Dziedzic, also board certified by the American Board of Radiology, attended Duke University Medical Center where he completed a fellowship in musculoskeletal radiology in 2008 and a residency in diagnostic radiology in 2004. He is a 2003 graduate of New York Medical College. Dr. Dziedzic graduated with a Master of Science degree in 1997 and a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1995 from State University of New York at Buffalo. He also holds a Master of Public Health degree (2003) from New York Medical College. A native of Orchard Park, New York, Dr. Dziedzic is a member of the Radiological Society of North America, North Carolina Medical Society and Wake County Medical Society.

Dr. Schulz and Dr. Dziedzic join a team of 57 radiologists at Wake Radiology, serving patients through the practice’s outpatient offices and at WakeMed Health & Hospitals, Johnston Health, Maria Parham Medical Center and Central Regional Hospitals.
