 Investing in Our Community

We know that above imaging quality, our team’s expertise, and convenient locations, the care we provide and how we’re viewed comes down to how we treat those with whom we serve, work and live.

For 65 years, Wake Radiology employees have proudly served our community’s uninsured patients who’ve received medical imaging care or through our current and previous medical partners, REX UNC Healthcare, Maria Parham Medical Center and WakeMed Health and Hospitals. We’re also pleased to support free screening mammogram events through the year at our outpatient imaging offices located throughout the Triangle. We also have our own mammogram charity program where we perform free screening mammograms for uninsured women bi-annually in our outpatient imaging centers.

Wake Radiology is also proud to support many medical charities and associations as well as several major cultural groups that make a difference in the overall health and vibrancy of our community. From the American Cancer Society and Komen Race for the Cure to the North Carolina Symphony and Carolina Ballet, Wake Radiology understands that we all benefit when these organizations thrive.

In 2018, Wake Radiology launched a year-long initiative called Wake Rad Cares to celebrate the practice’s 65 anniversary. Wake Rad Cares focuses on ways all employees can elevate their caring spirit to serve patients, providers and the community. As an internal focus, the practice is striving to collectively provide 19,500 hours (65 hours per employee) in helping others this year.

“We know our team is already involved in caring for others throughout the Triangle as so many are truly guided by a service heart. From sitting on non-profit boards to coaching their child’s sports team, our employees care deeply about their community. Our Wake Rad Cares campaign allows us to formally recognize what impact we can make individually and collectively throughout the Triangle area.” ~ Lyndon Jordan III, MD, President and Managing Partner
