65 Years of Excellence in Medical Imaging

We know that above imaging quality, our team’s expertise, and convenient locations, the care we provide and how we’re viewed comes down to how we treat those with whom we serve, work and live.

In 2018, Wake Radiology launched a year-long initiative called WakeRad Cares to celebrate the practice’s 65 anniversary. WakeRad Cares focuses on ways all employees can elevate their caring spirit to serve patients, providers and the community. As an internal focus, the practice is striving to collectively provide 6,500 hours in helping others this year.

Update! We’re proud to announce that Team WakeRad provided more than 7,400 care hours to our community in 2018. Our team served as part of formal, organized events like the Boy Scouts, American Red Crofoodss, Girls on the Run and hurricane relief through the Food Bank of Central & Eastern NC as well as caring for adoptable pets, coaching youth sports teams, volunteering at school and churches, preparing and delivering countless meals, and even shoveling snow during the winter’s storms.

“We know our team is already involved in caring for others throughout the Triangle as so many are truly guided by a service heart. From sitting on non-profit boards to coaching their child’s sports team, our employees care deeply about their community. Our WakeRad Cares campaign allows us to formally recognize what impact we can make individually and collectively throughout the Triangle area.” ~ Lyndon Jordan III, MD, President and Managing Partner

For 65 years, Wake Radiology employees have proudly served our community’s uninsured patients who’ve received medical imaging care or through our current and previous medical partners, UNC REX Healthcare, Maria Parham Medical Center and WakeMed Health and Hospitals. We’re also pleased to support free screening mammogram events through the year at our outpatient imaging offices located throughout the Triangle. We support our own mammogram charity program performing free screening mammograms for uninsured women bi-annually in our outpatient imaging centers.

Wake Radiology proudly partners with medical charities as well as major cultural groups that are making a difference in the overall health and vibrancy of our community. From the American Cancer Society and Komen Race for the Cure to the North Carolina Symphony and Carolina Ballet, Wake Radiology understands that we all benefit when these organizations thrive.
