Wake Radiology Introduces New Technology That Offers the Practice and its Providers Improvements in Shared 2D & 3D Diagnostic Images and Medical Reports

Intelerad’s Product Suite to Deliver Wake Radiology and its Providing Community Critical Results Reporting with Better Workflows, Anytime Access RALEIGH, February 10, 2016 — Wake Radiology, the Triangle’s leading provider of outpatient medical imaging, announced today that is has selected industry leading Intelerad Medical Systems™ as a new technology partner to help speed the delivery of diagnostic images and reports to its referring healthcare providers. InteleConnect_1Wake Radiology will use Intelerad’s InteleOne, InteleConnect and InteleViewer products to give Wake Radiology and its provider community easy access to patient images and exams, anywhere and anytime. This tool offers cross-enterprise image access and diagnostic workflows to deliver unified access to medical images and reports regardless of whether they are stored in a RIS, HIS, EMR, PACS or VNA systems. InteleOne will replace the practice’s current PACS system. “We’re excited about the capabilities in workflow, access and speed that the Intelerad product suite will bring to our radiologists, technologists, and our referring providers and their staff,” said Matt Dewey, Wake Radiology’s Chief Information Officer. “We were looking for a robust and intuitive diagnostic viewer that also offered a single, streamlined reporting interface. The Intelerad product suite offers diagnostic, process and time-saving advantages to all of our key users. The InteleViewer offers one of the best diagnostic viewers that we have tested, while the InteleConnect system delivers an intuitive reporting and workflow process.” Wake Radiology will begin rolling out this technology upgrade, referred to as “Wake Radiology’s Provider Services powered by InteleConnect,” to providers during the first and second quarters of 2016. The company’s physician liaison team as well as technology support members will make on-site training visits to referring provider’s offices as well as provide how-to training materials to make this transition seamless. “Our own radiologists were directly involved in testing and selecting this new technology. It had to offer diagnostic advancements and be intuitively easy to use. The Intelerad product suite that we selected offers both,” said Dr. Lyndon Jordan, the practice’s President and Managing Partner. “Our team looks forward to sharing these new tools with the referring physicians who trust us to make accurate diagnoses for their patients.   • A full-featured, diagnostic-able viewer for Windows that can be launched straight from the tool
  • Tailored worklists that automatically present only relevant patients and/or cases
  • Simplified report management with pending notifications all presented in one view
  • A streamlined experience on their desktop, mobile or tablet devices, including a one-step installation

In the coming months, Wake Radiology’s physician liaison team will begin scheduling appointments to introduce InteleConnect to Wake Radiology’s referring healthcare community.
