When you need an accurate, definitive clinical diagnosis that pinpoints the exact degree and extent of any injury or musculoskeletal (MSK) disorder, Wake Radiology excels. Watch the Video…

Our Orthopedic & Sports Imaging Specialists

icon-meetradiologistOrthopedic and sport imaging radiologists use the most advanced imaging technologies to diagnose bone and joint disorders as well as sports-related injuries.

Orthopedic & Sports Imaging

Our orthopedic and sports imaging radiologists are committed to helping our patients stay active and involved. When a sports-related injury or joint pain slows you down, our team works hard to help get you back to living life at its fullest as quickly as possible. Our team uses advance technologies to detect and diagnosis the root of the issue and work with your referring doctor on recommending appropriate treatment and care. For aggravating joint pain, our musculoskeletal (MSK) radiologists can administer image-guided injections that offer relief right in our outpatient offices.

All of our orthopedic and sports imaging doctors are subspecialty trained and focus on muscle and skeletal health concerns. They have experience imaging and diagnosing professional hockey players, dancers, track stars as well as local college and high school athletes. They are committed to keeping all of us “in the game” by delivering unmatched care and raising the bar for orthopedic imaging and detection in the Triangle.

Our West Raleigh MSK and sports imaging office is staffed daily by two subspecialty-trained radiologists. To make it convenient for our patients, orthopedic imaging can be performed at most of our outpatient locations. All orthopedic-related cases are then routed to our West Raleigh office for immediate interpretation by our MSK radiologists.

iscd.jpgAll Wake Radiology bone densitometry (bone density) exams are conducted by technologists and interpreted by radiologists who have been certified by the International Society for Clinical Densitometry (ISCD). Wake Radiology is proud to be the only provider in the Triangle – and one of the first in the nation – to be certified by the International Society for Clinical Densitometry (ISCD) for bone density studies. This significant accomplishment is the highest certification offered by the ISCD.
