Members of the Wake Radiology marketing team accept the 2016 Quest Digital Marketing Award during the annual RMBA Conference in Las Vegas, NV.

The RBMA is the nation’s leading professional organization for radiology business management professionals in any radiology setting. The RBMA Digital Marketing award recognizes the best use of electronic media for promoting a practice’s brand, products and services based on media/channel penetration as well as analysis, results and return on investment.

“Starting about a year ago, we dedicated concentrated effort to rebranding our practice and improving our website as well as starting to use social media tools to interact with our patients, referring providers and employees,” said Dr. Lyndon Jordan, President and Managing  Partner at Wake Radiology. “We were thrilled to be recognized for this work, especially because it’s making a difference in our practice. We are thankful for the marketing leadership and teamwork that made it possible.”

Wake Radiology has offered outpatient imaging services to the greater Raleigh area for more than 60 years. However, it has been more than 20 years since the practice participated in a major update of its logo. This creative work served as the catalyst for a significant overhaul of its website to create a responsive, easy-to-use resource for patients and referring providers. Wake Radiology also started to engage with these communities via Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.

Aware that many patients access healthcare information online, Wake Radiology remains committed to continued improvement for all of its online environments. Through WakeRad.com, patients can learn about the how medical imaging is used to confirm a diagnosis, how quality images can actually drive down medical costs, and about the expertise of the radiologists and technologists who perform the imaging exams at Wake Radiology.

In the past year, the practice’s updated website and digital platforms have helped Wake Radiology share information about advancements in 3D mammography, CT screenings for lung cancer, its dedicated pediatric imaging office and how patients can better manage back and joint pain.
